Annapolis Irish Festival

Irish Festival Annapolis
Irish Festival Annapolis

This festival should not be missed! Besides, O’Callaghan Hotels have been a proud sponsor since the kick off in 2011.

Founder/Director, Eddie McGowan set a five year goal in 2011 to donate $100,000 to a local charity and non-profits such as Bello Machre and Hospice of the Chesapeake. He not only met his goal but exceeded it. Each Summer, since 2011, the Annapolis Irish Festival has attracted thousands of people who share a passion for the Emerald Isle and the magical Celtic traditions, music and food.

This year the festival has over 70 vendors and a musical line-up like no other in Annapolis. There is a steady stream of entertainment on three different stages throughout the festival grounds including, Screaming Orphans, Scythian, Gaelic Storm and Carbon Leaf. This year they have added a pipe band competition as well.

Many of the vendors have great giveaways and of course they all have quality products available for sale. Some items include kilts, fine silver jewelry and an abundance of t-shirts to remember your experience.

The festival is family-friendly and includes “Little Leprechaun Land” which is a free area for kids to play while parents have a drink or two. Face painters, pony rides and enjoying musical entertainment provided by Seamus Kennedy – all is possible!

There is an endless choice of food. From beef stew to fish & chips, all Irish traditional dishes are represented. Of course, there is plenty of choice for drinks as well, as Guinness and Magner’s Irish Cider are great sponsors!

On the Friday night, the festival salutes our military and first responders. If you’re a soldier, simply show your Military ID and you and a good friend of yours get a FREE ENTRY.

Visit us at our booth by the main stage and enter the chance to win! (surprise, surprise..)
